About David Stevens
Whether you seek assistance within estate planning or another area of law, David offers personal, professional legal advice at reasonable prices. In addition to estate planning and estate administration, David offers additional legal services, including social security disability claims, traffic ticket points issues, and small business contract writing and review.
David is about as flexible as they come when it comes to serving his clients, offering “after hours” meeting times for people who find it hard to meet during regular business hours. He has also been known to make house calls for the elderly or injured. David is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois. He is well versed in many areas of law, but if he doesn’t have expertise in a specific area of law you need, he will always do his best to help you find an attorney who does.
Law is a second career for David. He and his co-workers discovered Dave’s meticulous eye for details as he reviewed contracts, bid specifications and the “fine print” on documents that crossed his desk. David went to law school and passed the Bar Exam while in his 40’s and has been practicing law ever since.
A retired endurance athlete with plenty of marathons, Ironman triathlons and Tough Mudders to his credit, Dave and his wife Sally like to explore ancient Mayan ruins in Mexico and Central America. Since 2001, Dave and Sally have been running a learn-to-swim school and year-round youth swim called HEAT Swimming.
There are several types of events that get people thinking about creating an estate plan: marriage, birth of a child, traveling overseas without your children, divorce, or simply because you felt that it was time to get your wishes organized. David can help you achieve peace of mind by providing you with an estate planning package.
Social Security Disability
Social security disability applications are very difficult to navigate without the guidance of an attorney familiar with the system. Statistically, about 90% of disability claims are denied upon initial application. David has the ability to present your unique medical background to the Administrative Law Judges in a manner most likely to get you approved for disability benefits.
